Our worship services are designed to engage all ages to encounter Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome and you will find just as many worshippers dressed in jeans and casual wear as those who prefer wearing coats and ties. Our worship style can best be described as blended, utilizing hymns that have been sung for centuries as well as more contemporary worship songs and modern hymn arrangements. Accompanied by our beautiful Moeller Pipe Organ, piano, keyboard, and often other instruments such as flutes, trumpet, and guitar, a variety of musical styles can be experienced in a typical worship service.

All through the bible, music is an integral part of worship. God’s people have always been a singing people. God’s people have always celebrated God’s care, protection, provision, and majesty through music. We become unified as the Body of Christ as we gather to sing praises. Music is one of the creative gifts God has given us and it speaks to our hearts even as our music speaks to His heart.

The majesty of God and the good news of the Gospel is presented each week by our Sanctuary Choir. Each Sunday the choir serves as our main worship leaders for congregational worship as well as singing special musical selections to enhance the worship experience. The Sanctuary Choir also provides seasonal and special musical presentations at various times during the year. Our annual Christmas music presentation on the Sunday before Christmas, is an event our entire community looks forward to each year.

Membership is open all year long. Any high school student or adult can be a part of the Sanctuary Choir and there is no audition required. You don’t even have to know how to read music. A love of music and a willing heart desiring to serve is the only requirement.

Rehearsals are each Wednesday evening at 6:45 in the Music Suite located on the second floor of the Education Building (behind the Sanctuary).

Many of our church members are not able to commit to choir year-round, so they join us for our annual Christmas music celebration. Rehearsals begin in late August and our choir welcomes “extras” to join us.
