As believers, it is important that we know what the Bible says about tithing. Tithing is more than giving. The word “tithe” literally means tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn’t merely giving something to God. It is giving back what was His to begin with. The Bible teaches that tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything. He doesn’t need our money; God wants what our money represents: our priorities, passions, and purposes. Through tithing, we remember that God is first in our lives.

At FBC Yazoo, we provide several simple options for you as you faithfully give to the Lord.

Cash or checks can be given during Sunday School or placed in the offering plate at the end of our Sunday morning worship services.
